COMING OCTOBER 2, 2014
The Smoketown Poetry Opera : A performance event created by Louisville-based African American filmmakers, poets, dancers, musicians and DJs illuminating a call to integrate social justice into urban planning policy.  The event will be held outdoors in Louisville’s oldest African American neighborhood, Smoketown.  Also features a participatory art fair and major announcements about the workforce development and job skills programs being launched by IDEAS 40203 and YouthBuild Louisville’s Creative Innovation Zone initiative funded by ArtPlace America.
